Donald L. Eller, 71, of Urbana, went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2023 at 4:53 pm.

Donald was born on August 27, 1951 in Decatur, IL at St. Mary’s Hospital. He grew up in Decatur and graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1970. He and his wife Nancy got married on December 31, 1991 and were married almost 29 years when Nancy preceded him in death on February 2, 2020.

Donald is survived by his four sons; Jeff and wife Shannon Eller, Marc and wife Stephanie Eller, Brian and wife
Holly Eller, Austin and wife Diana Payne and his five grand-children; Jacob, Kylie, Jaylie, Sophia and Amelia and one great grandchild; Zaylah. He is also survived by a sister, Darlene and a brother, Cary Eller as well as his best friend, Rob who helped him a great deal these past few years after the loss of his wife.

Donald retired from the Urbana Sanitary district in 2017 after working there for 30 years. He enjoyed drag racing, basketball- which he played in high school, and painting automobiles, which he was very good at. But,
his favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family. In 2021 Donald found his way back to the Lord through a prayer group that he participated in weekly.

Donald was met at the gates of heaven by his parents; Joseph and Mary Eller, wife; Nancy; brothers, Lee and Lewis and Sister Paulette.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Harrisontown Village Hall in Decatur IL, on Friday, May 12 from 3 to 4pm with a private family gathering immediately following.
