Nancy Rhodes Eller, 81, of Hays, passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2022 at Wilkes Health & Rehab Center. She was born April 9, 1940 in Wilkes County to Otto and Mamie Whitley Rhodes. Nancy was a member of Fairplains Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, macrame, traveling, camping and shopping. She especially loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Eller was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Kenneth Eller; and sister, Louise Bowers.

She is survived by her siblings, Marie R. Byrd and spouse, Minor, of Hays, Dallie R. Lackey of North Wilkesboro, Otto Rhodes Jr., Mary R. Huie, Judie R. Sebastian and spouse, Dwight, Wayne Rhodes and spouse, Betty, Athena R. Shumate and spouse, Gary, and Teresa R. Carter all of Hays; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at Fairplains Baptist Church with Pastor David Dyer and Rev. Chris Johnson officiating and Nicole Haynes speaking. Burial will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Fairplains Baptist Church from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service.
