    • In the 1855 New York census, Frances is 6 years old and living with her parents (both age 28) in Cobleskill (Schohaire County), NY with brother Orson (age 8).

      In the 1870 census, Frances Hager is 21 and still living with her parents in Winnebago, NY where she is shown as a "school teacher." She marries in 1872 in Nebraska.

      By the 1880 census, she is married and living in West Blue (Filmore County), Nebraska. She is listed as "keeping house." By 1890, she had lost her first two children. Harley is shown as 1 year old and Laura Leone is 6 months old.

      Francis died around Christmas 1898. Newspaper accounts say she died in an explosion that occurred when son Wayne was removing turpentine that was being heated on the stove to be used to polish the floors for dancing. Some spilled, burning Mrs. Eller, Wayne, son Harley and the father, James William.
