    • Timothy left a share of his estate to his son, Nimrod. Deeds for that land between James and his brother Solomon refer to it as the land left him by his father Timothy Terrell. Emma Dicken believes James "Nimrod" Terrell is the same James Terrell who appears in Georgia as a Captain with Revolutionary war experience. (Dicken, p.247) That Cpt. James Terrell was a Revolutionary war soldier who settled in Georgia after the war. He was a member of the House of Representatives from Franklin County Ga. 1796-1798. He served in the State Senate 1801-1804.
