Notes |
- In 1754, Henry Bailey (father) sells his son Williamn 226 acres of the land he bought from William Bowing (DB 4. p 137).
In 1761, about the tiime of their father's death, William sells John Bailiey (his brother) 220 acres that appear to be the same parcel (DB 10, p.213). And at the same time, John sells William 132 acres nearby (adjacent to the Vaughan land)(DB 10, p.214). In this transaction, John is described as being from Edgecomb County, NC.
We believe this puts John or William on the parcel of land on which we later find Richard Henry Lee, making one of these two me the most likely father.
