Bennie Ruth Eller, 93, entered her Heavenly home on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. She was born April 1, 1930 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Lee Washington Box and Alice Able (Judge) Box. She attended public schools and graduated from Hulbert High School.

Bennie married the love of her life and best friend, Ralph “Dutch” Monroe Eller on January 5, 1951. They shared 65 years of life, marriage, and memories.

Ralph and Bennie made their home in Muskogee, Oklahoma where she worked a short time at the telephone company before becoming a rancher’s wife. She enjoyed farm life with her husband for many years and dutifully took care of him for 7 years while he was on dialysis. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2015.

She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church and was an active member until illness slowed her down.
Bennie was an excellent seamstress and made many “Bennie Blankets” for the newborns of family and friends. She was also known to make the best peanut brittle at Christmas time every year.

She loved spending time with her family and friends. Most of all with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Floyd Box, Raymond Box, Mary “Bea” Kessl, Radene McCleary, Donsetta Underwood, Delores Alexander, and Willie Mae Dudley.

Bennie is survived by her sons, Larry (Chris) Eller of Joplin, MO, Terry (Raynia) Eller, and Pam (Jimmy) Jestice, all of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Jodi (Justin) Hill of Bentonville, AR, Tyler Jestice of Chicago, IL, Ashley Eller of Muskogee, OK, Cody (Brandy) Eller of Ardmore, OK, Bryan (Hannah) Eller of Seoul, S. Korea, and David Akiss of Rolla, MO; great-grandchildren, Michael Eller, Dawna Grace Eller, Hailey Hill, and Zachary Hill; along with many other family members.

The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Tracy Igert, NP, St Francis, Ft Gibson, and Gentiva Hospice for their care.
