Mavis Eller Peterson, 86, of Elon, passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Friday, Jan. 1, 2022. A native of Wilkes County, she was the daughter of Coy Eller and Bernice Foster Eller, both deceased.

Mavis retired from Nokia, Inc. and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Gibsonville.

She is survived by her sisters, Madge Eller McNeil, of Ferguson, Wilma Eller Gilbert and her husband, Robert, of Advance; her brother, Joseph Coy Eller and his wife, Margaret, of Lugoff, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Sadie Eller; along with several nieces and nephews and numerous friends and her extended family of the Gibsonville Kingdom Hall. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Reese J. Eller, Roger F. Eller and O. Frank Eller.

In keeping with Mavis’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gibsonville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness or to AuthoraCare Hospice.
