Mrs. Judy Ann Spiva, age 65 of Harold Parham Road, Blairsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 4, 2021 in the Northeast Georgia Medical Center of Gainesville following an extended illness. Judy was born on January 9, 1956 in Young Harris, GA., daughter of the late Jackie Floyd Burrell & Wilma Louise Kelley. Judy’s family & church family were her life. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt. It brought Judy great joy to sing  in the church choir every chance that she had. She also loved to hunt & golf. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother; Tony Burrell, and a sister-in-law; Deborah Burrell. Judy was a life-long resident of Union County as well as being a member of House of Prayer Church.

Survivors include her loving husband; Eddy Spiva of Blairsville, one daughter & son-in-law; Nikki & Cory Thomas of Blairsville, son & daughter-in-law; Chad & LeeAnna Spiva of Jasper, step-father; Ron DeLong of Blairsville, one brother & sister-in-law; Freddy & Stacy Burrell, three sisters & three brothers-in-law; Janet & Sam Chapman, Jackie & David Chatham, Kelley & Phil Chapman all of Blairsville, and one grandchild; Walker Thomas. Many other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 7, 2021 at 11:00am from the House of Prayer Church with Rev. Jerry Helton, Rev. Ben Chapman, and Rev. Jeff Olver officiating. Special music will be presented by the House of Prayer Church Choir & Freddy Burrell. Interment will follow in the House of Prayer Church Cemetery. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers; Scott Dyer, Chad Rich, Ben Chapman, Aaron Chapman, Chase Burrell, Brett Chatham, and Jackson Burrell. The family will meet with friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or if you wish the family requests that donations be made to the House of Prayer Church in Judy’s memory.
