Jody Burton, age 77, of Demorest, was born in Clarkesville, the son of the late Oscar and Hester York Burton. Mr. Burton was a logger and was a member of Old Nacoochee Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Paralee Allen Burton.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Sue Burton, Randy and Kim Burton and Stanley and Teresa Burton; daughters, Sharon Jones (Stacy), Faye Gordon and Tammy Armour (Ray Sutton); brothers, David Burton and Journey Burton; sisters, Mary Jane Franklin and Winnie Dill; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
