Mabel Delores Eller, age 75, died Monday, November 29, 1999, at her home in Howard, South Dakota.
Mabel Delores Gluhm was born July 25, 1924, on a farmstead west of Howard to Fredinand and Anna (Ringsven) Glulun. She married Marion Eller on September 3, 1948, at Pipestone, Minnesota. Marion died March 30, 1990.
She grew up in the Howard area and attended Dane-Hall country school. She then worked at home before marriage to Marion Eller. The couple lived near Roswell, South Dakota before moving into Howard in 1970. She enjoyed yard and garden work and she was always noted for keeping an immaculate house.
Survivors include three sons: Dennis and Raymond, both of Howard; David and wife Lois of Brookings, SD; two daughters: Betty Rose and husband Jerald of Sioux Falls, SD; Shirley Wienk and husband Neil of Stewartville, Minnesota; five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; two brothers: Ordell Gluhm and wife Mildred of Rapid City, SD; Frances Gluhm and wife Helen of Canova, SD; and, a sister: Mildred Anderson of Highmore, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and an infant daughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 2 at Willoughby Funeral Home in Howard with burial at Graceland Cemetery, Howard. Rev. Rob Moorlach will officiate.
