Charles William Eller age 82 of Salisbury, passed away on October 29, 2021 at Atrium Cabarrus Medical Center. He was born on February 20, 1939 in Rowan County and was the son of the late Cicero Avery Eller and Annie Schronce Eller. He attended the Rowan County Schools and was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean era. He was a longtime member of China Grove Church of God. He loved to travel, particularly going to the mountains. He worked for many years for the Wix Corporation in Gastonia, before retiring.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; George , James Sr., Avery and Claude Eller as well as sisters; Kathleen Marshall, Martha Smith, Mary Magdalene Eller and Elizabeth Swing. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Bettie Hill Eller, daughter, Cynthia Daniels, step son James Avery Jr. grandchildren; Amber Hart (Christopher), Pierce Daniels, Bradley Eller and Jacob Eller. His great grandchildren are Gabriel Hart, Lucas Eller, Avery Eller and Landon Eller.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 7:00 pm till 9:00 pm at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove, with funeral on Saturday at 11:00 am also at the funeral home with Pastor Don Caple, officiating. Burial with full military honors will be performed at 2:00 pm at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.
