Alice Marie Howe attended the University of Indiana where she studied mathamatics. At the age of 23 she married Charles Eller immediately prior to his entrance into Dental School.
In 1907 she and Charles moved to Albuquerque, NM, in part due to her fragile health. She had three children, and was never able to regain her health completely. She died in Albuquerque at the age of 74. She was known to her grandchildren as "Nanny", and is remembered for her beauty, her elegance and sound "Mid-Western" judgement. (By Kirk Graham)
